A 2-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle and sustained a head injury in Elad early Sunday morning 20 Sivan. The incident occurred at 6:40AM.

According to the Ichud Hatzalah report, the boy awakened early and left his home, wondering onto Yochanan Ben Zakai Street in Elad. EMT Shmulik Berkowitz reports “When I arrived on the scene, the child was conscious and had already been extricated from under the car by pedestrians. The child was transported to the hospital in moderate condition”.

Ichud Hatzalah reminds parents to be certain to lock doors to prevent children from wandering outdoors, particularly parents of smaller children who often awaken early in the day.
