Yaakov (Jack) Teital, known ion the media as “The Jewish Terrorist” has launched a hunger strike in his prison cell. Teital was convicted in the murder of two Arabs in addition to other attacks in 5773.
Yaakov Teital, was sentenced to two life sentences and he is being held in Ayalon Prison. It is reported that he has launched a hunger strike in protest over his unacceptable conditions. He is quoted saying “For as long as the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) harmed me I remained silent but now it is my wife and children and I cannot accept this”.
Two additional prisoners who identify with his struggle have joined the hunger strike. The three began the strike on Tuesday, 15 Sivan. In response prison officials’ have placed them in solitary and canceled their phone privileges.
Persons close to Teital explain he is not permitted to have visitation from his wife and five children like other prisoners. They feel prison officials are “abusing” him by denying him regular scheduled visitors like any other prisoner. They add that “Yaakov turned to prison authority officials a number of times asking to restore regular visitation but his requests were rejected so he launched a hunger strike”.
The Israel Prison Authority Spokesman’s Office confirms Teital has launched a hunger strike, adding disciplinary measures have been taken against him and his medical condition is being monitored.

The problem is that the ISA wouldve cared more had he been an arab on a hunger strike. They are treating him like this so he serves as a message to the world so to say that israel takes its own terrorists very seriously. Had they denied that he’s a terrorist then israel wouldve been scared of the backlash… so poor guy.. if I remember correctly what he did was after a terror attack by arabs…
He’s lucky not to be sitting in a PA cell.

A terrorist is a terrorist you can’t have double standards.
& why shouldn’t his wife & children be able to visit?
Because terrorists get treated differently than other prisoners. It’s supposed t I be a deterrent.
