Israel: Driving 17 Years without a License


drivePolice on Tuesday 15 Sivan arrested a man in his 50s who has been driving for 17 years with a suspended license. The man lost his license in 1998.

The man was apprehended driving without a license in Samet Tivon as part of a large traffic enforcement sweep in the Zevulun district. The man was detained by police, who learned his license was suspended five times. There are two open court cases pending against him for driving with a suspended license in a Nazareth court. No less than 77 traffic summonses have been issued against the driver.

The driver will be arraigned. Police are asking to have him held without bail.
