Police revealed progress in the investigation into the arson attack against the Bnei Akiva branch in Upper Nazareth in which siddurim and other sifrei kodesh were burned. The national flag was disgraced in the attack as well, and damage to the Bnei Akiva facility was significant.
Police have questioned four youths who live in the city, all 10 and 11-years-old. They live in the neighborhood the Bnei Akiva branch is located. The children explained to investigators they decided to set the place on fire because they were bored. While police are not releasing the identities of the suspects because of their age, people affiliated with Bnei Akiva in the city report the suspects are Arab, not Jews. Police are no longer viewing the investigation as a hate crime.
Police are handing the case over to social services.

Sorry; that IS a hate crime. Foolish to think otherwise.
HaShem Yerachem Aleinu.
“Sifrei Kodesh were burned…the national flag was disgraced AS WELL” How can you put the two in the same paragraph, or even article????? The flag stands for much THAT IS A DISGRACE. Please leave any validation of the secular anti-torah state far away from the RIBBONO SHEL OLAM’S HOLY TORAH !
Just integrate the arabs they do good to our community. Give them citizenship because they’re board otherwise.
#2. The “Ribbono Shel Olam’s Holy Torah” includes mentions Israel as being Hashem’s gift for us. With all the difficulties and disgraceful parts of Israel, why look at part. Why not look at the yeshivas, shuls, mikvahs, chesed organizations, communities living a life dedicated to Hashem. Don’t make the mistake of the spies, mentioning that there are giants in the land, and it’s an empty desert.
Al daas hamakom,
Unfortunately you are so blinded by your uneducated biases that you don’t understand the enormity of your ignorant statement. The flag stands for the state of Israel, a country, by the way, that is the biggest supporter of Torah in history. But that aside, let’s address your point of trashing Zionism. Do you want me to show you a zionistic book, perhaps the most zionistic of all time? Maybe instead of burying your head in news websites pick up a tanach for once. Do ou want me to show you a Zionist Jew? Hmmm, let’s start with MOSHE RABBEINU, the man that prayed hundreds of times to go into eretz Yisrael. Or maybe a little more recent, Ezra, yirmiyahu. Even more recent? The Ramban and Maharshal. Or how about the most recent, Rav Teichtal or HaRav Kook. Would you say that those Torah giants opposed Torah values? I don’t think so.
And to address your point on secular Zionism, I would direct you to the second chapter of Rav Teichtal’s Sefer-אם הבנים שמחה, where he discusses this topic at length. However, I will just give you one answer that he notes. Sometimes great things are done by not such great people. And sometimes not so great people do great things. For example, david came out of a moavite woman (Ruth). So yes, I do agree that the Jewish state as we see it today is not what it could be but let’s see a Jew as a Jew. And please, go home and do some homework before making absentmindedly ignorant remarks. Thank you.
Notyeshivish: you are so not yeshivish- HOW can you call them a supporter of torah when they do everything to uproot it. From Chillul Shabbos to serving treif in restaurants, and in the army. They do NOT support torah whenever possible. “And please, go home and do some homework before making absentmindedly ignorant remarks. Thank you.”
Excuse me rew,
I can call them a supporter of Torah when they give millions and millions of shekels every year to yeshivot around the country. And in terms of the army, I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of nachal chareidi or hesder? Learning and army. And I did state that I agree that the spiritual state is not what it could be. Sooo yeah I think I’m right.
And yes, I’m not yeshivish the same was al daas hamakom is in no way daas hamakom
