Tuesday, 15 Sivan, is day three of the nationwide preparedness drill in which the IDF and other agencies along with local government are evaluating the nation’s situation under widespread attack.
On Monday, a number of frightening scenarios were simulated around the country. Tuesday is described as the heaviest day of in the series of simulated warfare and attacks.
Sirens sounded nationwide at 11:05 and scheduled once again at 19:05. Residents are expected to head for shelters and safe rooms as if a real attack is taking place. This aspect of the drill is to evaluated civilian response. Other aspects of the week-long exercise entail missile attacks on public and private buildings in addition to terrorist attacks involving the taking of hostages.
