Career terrorist Marwan Barghouti, who is serving life sentences for his role in heinous acts of terror, is back in the news. Barghouti, head of the Tanzim faction of Fatah, which rules the PA (Palestinian Authority), was found to have received a cellular telephone in prison. Officials are now trying to determine who smuggled the phone to him.
Barghouti, who is imprisoned in Rimon Prison, gave an interview to a Gazan radio station from his cell. This was accomplished using a cellular telephone that was smuggled into him. In his interview, the master terrorist called on listeners to continue efforts to abduct IDF soldiers to pressure Israel into releasing imprisoned terrorists.
The phone used was recovered by authorities in the prison laundry. Israel Prison Authority officials are working to determine who and how the phone was brought in to the prison and given to Barghouti.
It is reported that as a result of the interview, Barghouti was taken to solitary confinement and in response he launched an open-ended hunger strike.
Barghouti is responsible for the deaths of 66 Israelis and the wounding of 500. He was sentenced to 67 life sentences in 2004.
A senior prison authority officials told Channel 2 News the interview was undoubtedly intended to embarrass prison authority officials and an investigation is underway to determine who brought him the phone.

This is the wrong Barghouti. It is his illustrious relative Abdullah Barghouti YM”S who received the smuggled cell phone. May Hashem give both of them their deserved rewards in the next world.
Who cares if that shtick dreck dies in jail of starvation? They should be giving him bread and water anyway.
I feel people who voluntarily go on hunger strikes should be allowed to starve themselves to death.
For a huge bribe – a cell phone can be overlooked when brought in. Hope he starves to death!
