Sorry to tell you that this is just the opposite of supporting tziyonim. The tziyonim made a mechiras karka for the entire country to Arabs. They want that the farmers should work on their land and produce like every year, This fundraising is to support the farmers that they shouldn’t work but keep their properties untouched and to be shomrie shmita like they should. This helps them to be able to observe the mitzva of shmita.
#2- I don’t see how your comment refutes that of #1.
Yes, Satmar is acting to oppose the Chief Rabbinate’s heter mechira (and, no doubt, had the historical position of the Chief Rabbinate been opposed to the heter mechira then Satmar would support the heter mechira). But the method by which they are acting to oppose the heter mechira (and thus, the Chief Rabbinate and the State) is by giving money to Israeli farmers.
Now in Israel farming is different than in the US. Farmers are organized in kibbutzim or moshavim which are members of one of the kibbutz movements or of the moshav movement – which are very much Zionist movements. And the land that they work is, almost exclusively, state land or land owned by one of the Zionist settling agencies (KKL, Sochnut) who lease the land to the kibbutzim and moshavim not only to support agriculture but also as an expression of national sovereignty over the land.
So it seems that #1 is correct. In acting to oppose the Zionist Rabbinate, Satmar is supporting Zionist farmers, Zionist farming/settling movements and the sovereignty of the Zionist State of Israel over the land.
Gotta love it.

You missed the point.
They are still Jewish and are makayom a mitzvah. Satmar is giving them tzedakah.
Satamr isn’t aginst Jews, they are aginst Zionism.
Reb Yoilish used to daven for the IDF soldier’s safe return. Someone asked him why and he answered that “a yid iz a yid.”
If not for the medina these farmers wouldn’t keep shmittah. I’ve met many of these farmers some frum and many not frum that are keeping shmittah but they are all zionists. If not for the Jewish state they would have no clue. So in essence they are supporting tziyonim. JUST SAYING!!
May the Tzioni farmers gain huge zechusim by doing hashem’s mutzvahs.
Thanks #4,
When they do good, praise them! They do, and always did, care about yiddin! They “DO” espouse Ahavas Yisroel and generally they do it in the most amazing way. They have a shitta against the government that is irrelevant to their kiyum hamitzva of Ahavas Yisroel.
