Temperatures throughout Israel are soaring Monday 29 Iyar throughout Eretz Yisrael and the oppressive heatwave is expected to continue through the coming days. The numbers below are the actual temperatures, not taking the heat index into consideration, which in many areas increases the temperature by a number of degrees.

Some area temperatures for Monday include; Yerushalayim (93F to 79F at night), Tel Aviv (100 – 77), Haifa (99 – 77), Ein Gedi (106 – 91), Eilat (108 – 84) and Beersheva (104 – 72).

Tuesday’s predicted temperature in the capital is 97F, Wednesday 92F, and finally dropping down on Thursday 3 Sivan to 84F. The Jerusalem temperature for Shabbos is 87 and on Shavuos back up to 90F.

Health experts urge persons going outdoors to use sunblock, to wear a hat to protect against the strong rays of the sun and to continuously drink water even if one is not thirsty. The coming days will be particularly dangerous for persons visiting, those unaccustomed to the intense Mideast sun.
