On Tuesday 23 Iyar, many gathered in the Tzfas cemetery for a memorial marking 41 years since the Maalot Massacre which claimed the lives of 25 people, including 22 children. Close to 70 people were wounded.
Addressing the event were Tzfas Chief Sephardi Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu Shlita and MK (Bayit Yehudi) Moti Yogev. Also present were family members of some of the victims along with Tzfas Mayor Ilan Shochat, head of the state’s Payis Lottery Uzi Dayan, and Maalot Mayor Shlomo Buchbut.
