The combined central committees of Bayit Yehudi and the Tekuma faction convened on Tuesday, 23 Iyar. The forum voted to approve the coalition agreement signed with Likud.
Natan Natanson, who was a member of the Bayit Yehudi negotiating team banging out the coalition agreement said they would not permit Shas, which controls the Ministry of Religious Services, to appoint chareidi rabbonim exclusively. He added they will not permit the appointment of chareidi rabbonim in dati leumi communities, as per relevant clauses in coalition agreements. He explained “we have the Education Ministry portfolio and Shas understand quite well that cooperation is required and it will not pay to place sticks in the spokes of the wheels but to honor coalition agreements”.

This coalition is going to last from taanes Esther to Purim. I give it upto 6 months and this govt is demolished
@2: What’s going to be till Taanis Esther? You could’ve said till shavuos.
Perhaps perhaps it will be a FIRST & different groups will respect, engage & work together.
