CityPass, the operator of the Jerusalem light rail, in cooperation with Jerusalem City Hall, is beginning a program in talmidei Torah around the capital stressing safety on the light rail and public transportation in general. A special pamphlet was designed for the project, which will be distributed to students. The media presentation will hopefully make the young talmidim more aware when they travel to and from school and elsewhere.

Jerusalem is the only city in the country with a light rail operating, which presently carries 140,000 commuters daily including many young talmidim. CityPass officials in conjunction with the director of chareidi education in City Hall decided on the program to drive the safety point home to the many children who use the light rail daily.

Included in the exciting pamphlet is also interesting facts about the system and travel tips. CityPass CEO Mr. Yaron Ravid and PR and marketing personnel will begin appearing in talmidei Torah around the city to deliver the presentation and to respond to questions from talmidim.
