With about 48 hours remaining until the deadline for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to present his coalition government to President Reuven Rivlin, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman announces his Yisrael Beitenu party will not be a part of the coalition.
The foreign minister announced he will not enter the new coalition headed by Binyamin Netanyahu as he and his colleagues have decided to forego cabinet appointments and will remain in the opposition.
This means that at best, the prime minister will present a coalition with a coalition with a one-seat majority to the president on Wednesday, 17 Iyar. At present there are Likud (30), Kulanu (10), and Yahadut Hatorah (6). Mr. Netanyahu hopes to add Shas (7), and Bayit Yehudi (8).
