Man Who Fired Gun At NYPD And Was Shot Dead Was Jewish

guThe man shot and killed by NYPD Officers in Queens, Wednesday night, was Jewish.

Law enforcement sources confirm to YWN that the mans name is Jonathan Efraim of Staten Island. Chesed Shel Emmes is working with the Medical Examiner to have a non-invasive autopsy on him.

As YWN had reported earlier, on Wednesday, at 10:17PM, police responded to a 911 call of shots fired inside the Hillside Inn, at the corner of 168 Street and Hillside Avenue, within the confines of the 103 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers determined that a 30-year-old male had discharged a firearm inside the establishment and then fled northbound on 168 Street towards Highland Avenue.

Upon being provided a description of the suspect by 911 callers, officers encountered the suspect in the vicinity of 168 Street and Highland Avenue, and shouted “Police, Don’t Move!”

A foot pursuit then ensued towards 168 Place and Highland Avenue, where the suspect stopped, turned and fired upon the officers.

The suspect then continued southbound on 168 Place towards Hillside Avenue, where he again stopped, turned, and pointed his weapon in the direction of the officers a second time, opposite of 87-43 168 Place.

Two uniformed officers then discharged their firearms a total of five times in the direction of the suspect, striking him in the torso. EMS responded to the location and transported the suspect to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

    perhaps the same

  2. So few opinions, even less information.

I am inclined to say that, yes, it was a suicide by cop, subject to getting a thorough history of the deceased’s personal history.

Why is no one calling him a thug? No hoodie? Hot on frontwards?
