Thanks to the members of Flatbush Shomrim, 6 suspects were arrested overnight while committing various crimes in the Flatbush / Midwood neighborhood. The incidents happened between 12:30AM and 2:30AM.
One incident happened on East 24th Street and Quentin Road in the confines of the 61 Precinct when Shomrim witnessed two suspects breaking into vehicles. They turned out to be professional burglars. They were operating with two-way radio communication.
The second incident happened on East 27 Street and Avenue N in the confines of the 70 Precinct. A Shomrim member watched a person enter a construction site on the corner – where a new Shul is being built. One person was arrested.
The third incident was on East 26th Street and Avenue M – where Shomrim members witnessed the group breaking into multiple vehicles. Three perpetrators were arrested. One of the perpetrators in this incident still had his paperwork on him from being released – for breaking into vehicles!
Flatbush Shomrim thanks the NYPD’s 70 Precinct and the 61 Precinct for their quick response in taking these suspects into custody.
