Tikvah Fund Opens Applications for Second Yeshiva Men’s Program

1The Tikvah Fund has announced the opening of applications for its second summer Institute for Yeshiva Men, during the kayitz bein ha’zmanim. Last year, Tikvah hosted its first such program, in which 17 bochurim andyungerleit convened for a week to study advanced political theory and economics from renowned professors, as well as shiurim from top talmidei chachomim on themes relating to the role of Am Yisrael among modern societies in which they reside.

Among many distinguished speakers this year are Rav Ahron Lopiansky, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva of Greater Washington, popular columnist Jonathan Rosenblum, and William Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard magazine. The directors are Rabbi Yitzchok Adlerstein of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles, and Rabbi Mark Gottlieb, senior director of the Tikvah Fund.

The institute will take place August 9-16 (24 Av-1 Elul 5775), at the Glen Cove Mansion in Long Island, and is open to those between the ages of 20 and 30 who have considerable yeshiva background. The program is fully subsidized by the Tikvah Fund, including tuition, travel, hotel room, books, activities, and a modest stipend.
Application deadline is May 31, 2015. For more information or to apply, visit www.tikvahyeshiva.org.
