More than a dozen people were shot or stabbed in separate incidents across New York City overnight, police said.

Of the shootings, eight people were wounded in the Bronx, three in Brooklyn and one in Manhattan, CBS2 reported.

Investigators say the tally is a very large number and not typical.

All of the shooting victims are expected to survive, police said. No arrests have been made.
