Weather officials at 08:30 Thursday morning 27 Nissan reported that since 03:00 today, over 35mm (1.37”) of rain fell in the capital. It is pointed out the rainfall was accompanied by hail. Fire and rescue services report receiving dozens of calls for assistance and extrication as cars were trapped in flooded areas.
Emergency medical services officials’ report a number of people were treated for mild hypothermia. In other cases, emergency responders were summoned to assist people trapped in the vehicles, on the streets and in homes. Homes were flooded in a number of neighborhoods including Meah Shearim, Talpiot, Ramot, Baka, Katamon, Shmuel HaNavi, Ras al-Amud, and Jabil Mukhaber.
Route 90 was closed down between Ein Gedi and Dragot in both directions due to flooding.

I heard from friends in the Har Nof section of Yerushalayim that the hail storm was unreal. A lot of the water did not drain away because the drains were blocked and have been for years. Isn’t this something the Municipality could easily deal with. I thought efficient water use was one thing the Israelis knew about.
