An ambulance flipped over in Monsey, Sunday afternoon, but no one was seriously injured.
The incident happened just before 1:00APM at the intersection of College Road and Carlton Road.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel found that two vehicles collided. One of the vehicles involved, An Emstar Ambulance, was heading southbound on College Road and collided with a minivan which was heading east on West Carlton Road. Upon the collision, the Emstar Ambulance flipped on its side trapping the driver in the vehicle.
Monsey Fire Department and Rockland Paramedics responded to the scene and extracted the driver from the vehicle. Also assisting the occupants of the vehicles was the Hatzolah Ambulance Corp. which transported the driver of the ambulance to Westchester Medical Center with pain to his chest.
Hatzolah also transported the two occupants of the minivan to Good Samaritan Hospital for observation.
Neither occupant in the minivan had any serious injuries.
The accident is currently under investigation by the Ramapo Police Patrol Division.
