The 120 Members of Knesset of the 20th Knesset took their oath of office on Tuesday, 11 Nissan. The plenum also voted to appoint Speaker Yuli Edelstein for a second term.

103 MKs voted in favor, seven abstained, and there was one lone vote opposed. This was Likud Minister Silvan Shalom, who apparently pushed the incorrect button.

Shalom realized his error immediately following the vote, resulting laughter in the plenum. Needless to say, Shalom apologized to Speaker Edelstein, assuring him the vote was an error.
