A family court convened on Monday 10 Nissan to address the controversy surrounding the will of Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L. Kikar Shabbos News reports the court’s Vice President Justice Menachem Cohen is hearing the case in the hope of negotiating a settlement between family members. The children of Maran agreed to Justice Cohen handling the case.
The dispute surrounds the fact Maran left most of his worldly possessions to Rabbi Moshe Yosef.
Rishon L’Tzion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlita is refraining from involvement in the case, informing siblings that he will abide by any agreement reached.

hey your’e supposed to go to a din torah
A shanda that it is in arkoyos and not in B”D.
they cant have their cake & eat it too! when it comes to politics the sons preach to us to respect their father’s wishes, but how come they don’t respect what their father written will? If they say that the younger brother tainted their father’s mind the deri could have done the same. the bottom line is they want power! money & political power.
They cannot go to a bes din, as all of them are corrupt. Everyone knows that. Ask about Ponovitch , for example.
It would be so nice to see a story of a family actually accepting their parents wishes without a Machlokes.
If MARAN’s own family are in disagreement what his wishes are – then what do you expect from Ari Derei or Eli Yishai to be so certain what his wishes really are??!!
old fogy #4: The courts in the State are not only far more corrupt but they are anti-religion and specifically anti-Judaism.
