A fire erupted in the Imrei Chaim Beis Medrash in Bnei Brak near the home of the Vishnitzer Rebbe Shlita on motzei Shabbos 8 Nissan. There were no reports of injuries but sifrei kodesh went up in flames.
It appears the cause of the flame was candles lit by chassidim in honor of the yahrzeit of the Imrei Chaim ZT”L.

Never ever understood this custom of lighting candles. It emanates from am haartzus. The proof is that if you charged each person one dollar to light a candle in the bais medrash, only 5 candles will be lit!
If you really want to bring a zechus to the neshama, learn some mishnayos on the yarzeit.
Wow talmidchochom! The whole world is amuratzim except you! How lonely it must be for you on the top!
Mr. Talmidchochom – YOU’RE NOT – Because you don’t understand it means it’s a minhag shtus and am haartzus???
You’re the fourth son we’ll talk about this Shabbos!
A*S*K!!!
Don’t first categorize.
Go learn something!!
Oh, one more thing, dope! (pardon my French!)
You’re probably one of those who advocate after the g’zayra of last Shabbos that we not use crock pots or hot plates for Shabbos!
Did it ever dawn on you when we let our guard down as it relates to safety things could happen?!
Go back to your gemara and stay there! The world would be better without you spewing your venom!

Roger,
Not the whole world, Roger and out. Only those not willing to pick up a mishnayos to learn.
Yeah Yaapchik,
I learned a long time ago. Don’t leave candles burning unattended!
