In light of the horrific tragedy in Flatbush, there will be an important fire safety event in Antwerp, Belgium this coming Sunday, and the community is urged to attend. The event, which is being sponsored by hatzolah, Chaverim, and Shmira, will be held at the Bais Rochel parking lot, Lamorinerestraat 26-28.

A smoke simulator truck will be on premises demonstrating how to react in the event of a fire chas veshalom.

People can bring their shabbos and Pesach “hot plates” and have them checked by a qualified electrician. Residents will be able to consult with professionals about safety in your home. There will be training given by retired firemen from the “Switel-Hotel fire”, as well as testimony from a burn victim.

The event is for ages 10 and up.

Woman and girls 11:00 – 14:00
Men and boys 14:00 – 18:00

The enet is in memory of the seven Sassoon children and for a Refuah Shilaima for Gila bas Francis and Tziporah bas Gila.
