The Rockaway Nassau Safety Patrol (Shomrim), and the NYPD Counter-Terrorism Unit have scheduled a community-wide symposium on counter-terrorism and safety awareness, and a pre-Pesach Holiday briefing”. The event is open to the public and is being done in coordination with New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer, NYS Assemblyman Phil Goldfedder, NYC Councilmember Donovan Richards, Achiezer, the JCCRP, Hatzalah, and Chaverim

RNSP encourage all school parents, administrators teachers and staff to attend.

Additionally, Houses of Worship and Clergymen, Administration and staff of community centers, and Childcare providers are invited.

Topics to be addresses include threat and hazard awareness, planning for and avoiding a disaster, and reacting to an emergency situation.
