A one-year-old girl was scalded by boiling water on her upper body in a home on Uziel Street in the Bayit Vegan neighborhood of Yerushalayim on Tuesday morning 4 Nissan. The child was being watched by her caretaker.
Ichud Hatzalah EMT Yaakov Ezra explains “When I arrived on the scene I realized immediately the child was burned on her upper body and a leg which was the result of an electric kettle spilling on her. It appears the baby pulled the electric cord, bringing the pot down on her.
The child was transported to a Jerusalem hospital in a Magen David Dom paramedic unit listed in moderate condition. Police have detained the child’s nanny for questioning as they seek to determine if the accident was the result of negligence.

Oy, such tragedies.
Minimum – fire the nanny & make sure she doesn’t ever work with kids again. How on earth did a one year old manage to do this?
You do not want police involvement in general and certainly not in this. Whatever happened happened. Bringing the cops into this will certainly make the situation much worse. The next step would be to pay a lot of money to a lawyer to tell you what to say and how to blame somebody else. All the cops are going to want to do is arrest somebody.
