A boat capsized off the coast of Jaffa a short time ago. Magen David Adom EMS officials’ report there are six casualties, including a 5-year-old and 50-year-old in cardiac arrest.
Choppers from the air force’s 669 rescue unit have been dispatched along with police and harbor patrol units.
Ichud Hatzalah reports some people who were on board are unaccounted for at this time.
18:03: UPDATE from MDA: The boat capsized near the Aliya Coast in Tel Aviv. There were a total of 11 people on the board, including children. EMTs and paramedics responded and treated seven people who were extricated from the water by harbor patrol. Two people are in critical condition and CPR and advanced life support is ongoing; a 50-year-old woman and a 4-year-old girl. The others are in light condition.
