According to 21-year-old Ahmed Abu-Tahar, who is employed as a watchman at a French Hill parking lot, his attackers made sure he was Arab before beating him. Police are viewing the assault as a hate crime.
He told police that two persons approached him on Friday night close to 21:00. ‘They asked me if I am an Arab’, to which I said “yes” he explained. According to Ahmed, one of them pulled a knife and struck him with it in his face and head and the two then began beating him without provocation. He adds that his face filled with blood quickly and he made a run for it, fleeing his attackers. When he reached the main road his attackers fled in a different direction.
Ahmed told police he is certain that if he had not succeeded in running they would have beat him to death.
The victim was transported by Ambulance to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital where he is admitted in light-to-moderate condition. Police have not announced making any arrests at the time this report was filed.

HmmM 21:00 hours on a Friday Night. I think someone is fabricating a story. I don’t believe that Jews woud commit such a “crime” on the Sabbath.
The police blotter only seems to report when..
“Jews Attack Arab Watchman”… Headline might at least state “Watchman Claims or Watchman Alleges” that Jews attacked him. I hope it’s not true, but certainly the facts of the case still need to be ascertained and confirmed.
