We call him Simon, although he wasn’t officially named at a bris yet. He’s my nephew, Only son of my brother & sister-in-law, as beautiful and innocent as they come. But he didn’t come as another typical baby does. While in the womb, he was in a sac that was constantly leaking its water out .
The doctors words:
“He will not live to be born.”
“He will not form hands lips and other organs.”
“His mother is in danger too.”
“He will die, she will die, they will die.

Simon was born, despite the low survival rate of fetuses in situations like this. He has his hands, lips and all organs intact, and is a loveable, beautiful baby. He is a true miracle .
The condition in pregnancy has left marks on his lungs , underdeveloped & immature (hypoplasia lungs ).
Simons lungs must mature with time and clear up properly for him to survive .
The living conditions is robbing the chances for him to progress.
He lives in a small apartment with his four sisters .As much as they try to keep Simon isolated from the rest of the family, every bacteria in the household makes its way straight to his lungs, Worsened even more by the finding that the apartment is infested with mold .
I have seen him under attack time and time again, breathing through a respirator fighting for his dear life. His lungs are repeatedly stricken by one phnemonia after the other. Doctors say that his lungs are not capable of fighting so much anymore …”he will die.”

A new apartment will be his last and only option. It will give us the opportunity to set up a proper sterilized room for our little patient, that will enable him to heal and build his lungs so that he will be a perfect miracle .. A healthy baby!!
My brother is working overtime, struggling to cover their growing expenses. We have wonderful family who offer endless emotional support and constantly give of their meager salaries in an effort to help in every way possible. However, raising a lump sum in a short while would be impossible.
Your contribution will go towards :
*Medical lung treatments not covered by insurance.
*A new mold free home equiped with a steralized room, machinery & nurses with their essentials
*Moving expenses
*Lost wages, due to extensive hospital stays
We cannot do without your support. Anything you can do is wonderful, amazing, and appreciated. If you can’t contribute, then your continued prayers would also be greatly appreciated.
