10:08 IL: An IDF officer was wounded by cross-border fire from Syria a short time ago. The gunfire was directed at an IDF force operating along the Golan Heights border.

Chasdei Hashem the officer’s injuries are being described as “extremely light”. He was injured in a hand by shrapnel and does not require transport to a hospital. A Givati Brigade force was dispatched to the area of the attack.

Military officials are reporting the incident appears to have been intentional gunfire directed at the IDF force and not stray gunfire.
