A Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) poll shows most Israelis are opposed to a national unity coalition government. The poll was carried out by the Shiluv Millward Brown Research Group.

53%: opposed
23%: favor
24%: don’t care either way
Right-wing voters
66%: opposed
18%: would support national unity
Left-wing voters
56%: opposed
24%: would support national unity
When persons affiliated with Labor/The Movement were asked, 59% stated they are opposed as compared to 23% who would support it.

The poll should ask, would you prefer a national unity government rather than a government led by the party you can’t stand. I suspect one would find that almost everyone’s second choice is a national unity government (except for hareidim, whose hopes of cancelling the conscription law in return for political support would go away if there was a Likud-Labor coalition).
Note that has hareidi support for a coalition requires an agreement to cancel criminal sanctions for draft refusal, and that there are strong anti-hareidi elements on both the right and left, there is a good chance the a Labor-Likud coalition will result.
