Police are concerned for the welfare of an 83-year-old man who is missing from Melbourne.
Harry Szmerling was last seen by his family at a care facility on St Kilda Road around 1pm yesterday.
It is believed Harry may have wandered off and may have caught public transport.
Police and his family are concerned for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition and missed taking his medication.
He is described about 177 centimetres tall with a heavy build; he may have scratches on his face due to shaving and speaks English, Russian, Yiddish and French.
He could possibly be wearing grey pants and is believed to be wearing an embroidered style hat.
Police have been told that if treated respectfully and told he will be helped home he should listen and accept the help. He may not react well if confronted abruptly.
Police have released an image of Harry and his hat in the hope someone recognizes him and can provide information regarding his whereabouts.
