A member of Chaverim-Shomrim Montreal-Tosh was assaulted by four thugs late Motzei Shabbos, but thanks to a quick response by Shomrim and the Montreal Police, all four were apprehended.

Sources tell YWN that the Shomrim member was walking on Bernard corner Bloomfield in Outremont at around 12:40AM Sunday, when he was suddenly attacked by the four men. He was first verbally assaulted with hateful anti-semitic slurs, which was followed by a physical assault. The member quickly used his radio to call for backup – but seconds after after radioing for help and giving his location, the suspects stole his radio and fled.

More than a dozen Shomrim members along with police responded in minutes and were able to apprehend all suspects, and retrieve the stolen radio.

They were taken into police custody. The charges were not known as of this time.
