Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein has ordered an investigation into statements made by Yachad party candidate Baruch Marzel regarding Arab MK Hanin Zoabi. Marzel’s statements followed an assault against Zoabi during a Ramat Gan election event.

Upon hearing of the attorney general’s actions, Marzel stated “I did not hear the attorney general act so quickly in response to statements by Zoabi, Tibi and Zahalka, who constantly incite against the state and against the IDF…Weinstein must maintain a balance and abandon his discriminatory policies against the right”.
