AFP News reported on Monday 11 Adar that the PA (Palestinian Authority) plans to take its case to the International Criminal Court in The Hague in April 2015. If this is so, it will be the PA’s first case against Israel in the international court.
The report states the case will be filed on April 1st, the day the PA officially joins The Hague. This would be in line with statements made by Abu Mazen last January during a visit to Tunisia when he said April will be a decisive month regarding the international court.
Last week, senior PA official Dr. Nabil Shaath stated the PA decided to turn to the international court with a case against Israel, charging Jerusalem with “crimes against the Palestinians”. He was also critical of the American court decision blaming the PA for terror attacks.
