While much of the electioneering ahead of elections surroundings the high cost of living in Israel, this is not preventing a hike in the price of gas at the pumps. The increase will take effect on midnight motzei Shabbos.
A liter of 95 octane gasoline will increase by 38 agorot to 6.46 NIS/liter, which is the equivalent of $6.57/US gallon based on the Bank of Israel closing rate of 7 Adar, 3.93 NIS/$1.
