The plans are already in the works for a kabolas ponim for three talmidei yeshiva imprisoned by the IDF two weeks ago for failing to report to the induction center. They are scheduled for release next week. They are being referred to as the “Asirei Olam Hatorah” (אסירי עולם התורה).
Rabbonim will be on hand to greet the talmidim and to give them a chizuk as well as sending a message, that they will not be deterred or broken in spirit by arrest of incarceration and they remain steadfast in their refusal to cooperate with military authorities in any way.

Lets see- File for extension from draft and then go to Yeshiva and learn all day, OR, dont file for exemption and don’t learn all day and stand on streets all day blocking traffic ruining innocent people’s day then go to jail and make it very hard for your future spouse and children.
Also be aware, that the friends and family of the Rabbis who are encouraging these Yeshiva guys to not file exemptions and get arrested and demonstrate in the streets, the Rabbis friends and families surprisingly have all filed for exemptions, as was shown on Israeli media. These poor fellows sitting in the streets all day with signs are therefore being used. Because it seems this hard line is popular with some, and so will gain more followers.
since when do we give a “kabolas ponim” to idiots who cause trouble and damage?
All any yeshiva bocher has to do is to take a letter from his yeshiva that he learns full time to the induction center and he gets an automatic deferment. No sweat, no brains, no work.
But these idiots decide not to do this and therefore put themselves at odds with the law of the land (dina d’malchusa).
For this we give them a kabolas ponim?
I am hoping to hear they were quietly released early today, in time to prepare for Shabbos / Shabbat.
