New York Mayor Bill de Blasio’s annual State of the City address is going to focus on his administration’s affordable housing plan.
De Blasio’s staff says his speech Tuesday will detail his effort to preserve or create 200,000 units of affordable housing over 10 years.
He has said the housing plan will be the year’s top priority much like his plan for pre-kindergarten expansion was his focus in 2014
The mayor has called the housing plan the largest of its kind ever undertaken by any local government.
The speech is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Baruch College in Manhattan.
