HaRav Tzvi Tau Shlita has released a clarification which states he is not giving his backing to the Yachad party, calling on the tzibur to back the party towards gaining sufficient votes to pass the four-seat minimum threshold to enter the 20th Knesset.
Last week Rabbi Tau released a letter stating that with the inclusion of Baruch Marzel of Otzma Yehudit on the lineup, he cannot back the party.
The clarification sates that now that it is clear that Yoni Chetboun is on the lineup, he is encouraging his followers to back the party.
Rav Tau’s backing will bring many chareidi dati leumi votes to the party, which will undoubtedly contribute to entering the next Knesset.

There is an important typo towards the beginning of the article. It says Rabbi Tau is NOT giving his backing, but I believe it should say is NOW giving his backing.
If Yachad’s coalition of three distinct and mutually antagonistic groups (hawkish hareidim, frum dati leumi, and extreme religious nationalists) stays together, it means that the only frum votes “wasted” by be those hareidim who don’t vote by design (since they reject the medinah). That will be a big improvement.
Don’t see how these are three mutually antagonistic groups… They seem to blend together beautifully.
I thought he would not give backing to Ben Ari, but to brainless Marzel (moach barzel) he will give backing?
