B’chasdei Hashem, alert border police manning a checkpoint in the Maale Adumim area prevented the delivery of tons of treif meats and poultry to Yerushalayim and restaurants in the center of the country.

Border police explain the large tractor trailer delivering gravel seemed suspicious. They compelled the driver to dump the load for inspection. As seen in the video, the top of the truck had a false bottom the entire length of the cargo area and under a sheet of gravel was treif meat and poultry from the PA (Palestinian Authority). The entire load will be destroyed as it was in a non-refrigerated truck and the entire load lacked health or veterinary supervision.

The border commander interviewed explains that they are on the front line to stop these trucks, which are also used to smuggle illegals and terrorists. In this case the illegal cargo was just a matter of money, millions of shekels, but it did not present a security threat, at least not to one’s body but the same cannot be said for neshomos that R”L could have been served the neveila.
