The Supreme Court on Tuesday evening 7 Shevat heard a petition from Avi Dichter, who is demanding a recount of the Likud party primaries. Dichter and Tzipi Hotevely are battling for the 20th seat in the lineup, possibly only separated by a few dozen votes. The High Court ordered Likud to conduct an immediate recount.
Following the primaries, the 20th seat went to Dichter and Hotevely was in the unrealistic 26th slot. She went to the party’s election committee, followed by appeals from both of them to the Likud Supreme Court, the Tel Aviv District Court, and now the Supreme Court.
