New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is urging commuters to stay home on Monday, if possible.
Cuomo said roads and public transportation throughout the Hudson Valley, New York City and Long Island could be closed due to a storm that threatens to dump over two feet of snow on the region.
Cuomo also urged commuters to leave work early on Monday.
A blizzard warning was issued for a 250-mile stretch of the Northeast, including New York and Boston, and the National Weather Service said the massive storm would bring heavy snow and powerful winds starting Monday and into Tuesday.
