A request was filed with the Central Election Committee on Sunday, 5 Shevat, to disqualify the name Bayit Yehudi from the dati leumi party in the upcoming national elections race. The petitioners feel the party is not acting in line with the values of Jewry and therefore should not be permitted to run with the name.
What is surprising to some is the petition was not filed by chareidim, but by members of the dati leumi community who back Yitzchak Herzog and the Labor party. The petition states “We view Bayit Yehudi as a party operating contrary to the values of religious Zionism upon which we raised our children”. The petitioners fear the party’s name will mislead the voting public into believing the party represents Jewish and religious value when it does not.
To back their case they mention a number of examples including the fact that Housing Minister Uri Ariel sold public housing apartments to nonprofits including hesder yeshivot and this they feel is in contradiction to the pasul from Yeshayahu;
ועניים מרודים תביא בית כי תראה וכיסיתו ומבשרך לא תתעלם .
They also point out that the party fails to pay employees and suppliers on time, and that it has been dubbed the least socially aware in Knesset.

Who else are they trying to deceive?you?
Once and for all it’s About Time we stop judging (and giving credence to) others based on their headgear ,RATHER than on what they stand for and support .
“the party fails to pay employees and suppliers on time”
That is a pretty serious charge. They had better have some proof.
