Yesh Atid Seeking to Take Votes from Bayit Yehudi

benlaIn an effort to attract Bayit Leumi voters, Yesh Atid is launching its dati leumi campaign, which will include ads in Shabbos handouts distributed in shuls nationwide, Channel 10 News’ Roi Sharon reports.

The dati leumi faction of the party includes Elazar Stern, Shai Piron, and Dr. Aliza Lavie. Yesh Atid leaders have reached the conclusion that Bayit Yehudi is not the home for many dati leumi voters since the party only addresses matters pertaining to Eretz Yisrael, yeshivot and yishuvim. Yesh Atid officials feel many politically moderate dati leumi voters may prefer Yesh Atid over Bayit Leumi.

The party has already signed on deals to advertise in right-wing and Shabbos publications.

This new approach is in line with statements made by MK Shai Piron during an interview with Galei Yisrael, in which the Yesh Atid MK state he and Elazar Stern represent “classic religious Zionism”.

  1. who in their right mind would vote for yesh atid’s anti-religious, anti-Zionist ,and legalize marijuana nonsense-this is another example of Lapid’s arrogance!

  2. Under proportional representation, a party’s “target” in elections is the party closest to them in ideology (and ironically, the party they are most likely to be allied with in forming a coalition). Yesh Atid and Bayit Yehudi are very similar on most issues (which is why they worked together so closely in the last coalition).

  3. theyll get virtually no votes unless they go for the avrohom burg types, Bennetts party has torah values of shmiras shabbos and kashrus these people are slightly to the right of meeretz.
