The Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department responded to the fire, reported at 12:15 a.m., at a Bayview Avenue residence. The fire, which fully engulfed the home, was eventually extinguished with the assistance of ten area fire departments and over one hundred firefighters. The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
The exact cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time, but was deemed not to be suspicious. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The fire re-ignited around 5:30 a.m. and the home has since been demolished.
Sources confirm to YWN that the owner of the home is a Hatzolah member who works for NYC OEM as well as the FDNY. He and his family were in Florida at the time of the incident.

Way too much identifying information about the victim. I am from the neighborhood and without hearing the word around town, know who this is. Either print the name or remove the details.
