The unofficial word is that following years of not communicating with one another, back room talks have been ongoing to rebuild the relationship between Chabad and Yahadut Hatorah, ahead of the elections. This is in line with recent reports that numerous Degel Hatorah faction members made shiva visits to the Ashkenazi family in Kfar Chabad following the petira of the mora d’asra of Kfar Chabad, HaGaon HaRav Mordechai Shmuel Ashkenazi ZT”L.
On Monday evening during the main news broadcast on Kol Chai Radio, Avi Mimran spoke of the rumors of agreement reached between Chabad leaders and the chareidi Ashkenazi party.
Chabad spokesman Rabbi Menachem Brod said “the main Chabad community will vote for Yahadut Hatorah, which is tied to Degel Hatorah. There is nothing new here for Chabad. Rabbi Ginsburgh, who teamed up with Eli Yishai, does not represent Chabad”.

Rabbi Ginsburg is from the most sane chabadniks in the world. Being a chabadnik he does not have to worry about any of the inter Chareidi politics and seeing that he is going behind Eli Yishai is reaffirming what has been suggested before: It seems like Eli Yishai might actually be able to make the Charedi world proud once more. HIs sincerity and normalcy will show the Israli chevra what a true Charedi is.
Rule of thumb, not all leaders are in tuned to the desires, needs, goals of the layman especially the more ring-wing Chabad youth.
