President Barack Obama says he’ll be more relaxed and “a little better at it” when he delivers the State of the Union address Tuesday night.
It will be his sixth State of the Union address and the next-to-last one of his presidency.
Obama commented in a brief video the White House released Monday that shows him talking about the annual address and the state of the union.
He says there’s a certain pageantry surrounding the speech and that it always reminds him of the “incredible privilege” he has in being president.
Obama also says the U.S. is now positioned to “turn the page” after years of being weighed down by the fallout from the recession.
The address is scheduled for 9 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday night.
