DEV-CENTER-L1-Publish-Track-and-improve_InvariantCulture_Default-300x190What’s new in Online Marketing and how can it benefit your business?

Here are some emerging trends with an explanation how you can put them to use:

Do Your Local Listings Sync Up?

If your store moved to a new location, you would probably put a sign at the old location informing your customers of your new address, so they know where to find you, right?

The same care is required for your local online presence. You won’t rank well if you have conflicting information on any one of the thousands of sites where Google and other search engines gather local listings data. And, consumers are also confused when they see discrepancies and are likely to turn to a competitor whose listings are clean and consistent.

With Google putting significant effort into local search, Local SEO is already the next big thing. Don’t squander the opportunity, and be sure to get your local listings in order!

Social Media Shakeup

With roughly 1.35 billion monthly active users, Facebook is by far the top social media destination, however last month, Instagram moved up to second place with 300 million users pushing Twitter down to third place with 284 million users. Since Facebook owns Instagram you can imagine, that they couldn’t be happier! If your business still doesn’t have a Social Media strategy – 2015 is a great time to start!

Will Google Start Selling Car Insurance?

According to recent reports, results in Google for “Car Insurance” will have a new look, as they take steps to get into the auto insurance industry. Although the extent of their latest business venture is still not clear, analysts predict they will have a comparison-site where users will be able to view various plans and select auto policies underwritten by others. If you are in the auto insurance business this is an exciting opportunity to display yourself side by side with industry giants!
