In a television interview on Israel’s ‘Meet the Press’ this week, MK Moshe Feiglin explained that his new party, which will not be running in the upcoming elections, will strive to actualize the principles of a truly Jewish State in the Land of Israel. It will be built very carefully and deeply.
According to Feiglin, the party will include chareidim, the secular and everyone in-between. It will be a party for a modern, liberty-based Nation of Israel. On the socioeconomic level, that may include establishing a bank that does not charge interest, as per Jewish principles. On the diplomatic/security front, it means exercising Jewish sovereignty in all parts of our Land. It belongs to no one else.
“We plan to register Jews of the Diaspora in our new party, as well,” said Feiglin. “Even though these Jews have not yet made aliyah, they will be tied to Israel as their Land and already be members of a political party, with the right to vote in the party primaries. Our holistic message applies to all strata of Jewish society,” Feiglin concluded.

Great idea -if it could only work. Many people who now are on the defensive protecting sectarian interests would have their groups needs inherently protected and would be allowed to work on the issues of the country as a whole.
Seems a little like the joke saod of Lakewood’s takona!
Come September, no girls school can open until every girl has placement in a school and no boys yeshiva can open till every rosh yeshiva has a yeshiva!
Genoog Shoin with the partying in Israel! There’s so much work to be done! Can’t the frumet all work things out? It’s only going to be to everyone’s detriment.
Just what we needed, another splinter party which will burn religious, right wing votes and never get into the Knesset.
MK Feiglin has a unique voice that should be heard but I wish that he had decided to form an ideological political movement rather than a new political party.
He’s drunk
Sounds great in principle, but he has shown himself to be irresponsible in his efforts to invoke Israeli sovereignty (aka daven etc) on Har Habayis which has jeopardized the security forces and resulted in needless diversion of resources at critical times. His “unique voice” is frequently drowned out by his oversized ego.
#5- He’s hardly the only politician with an oversized ego. In fact, in the world of politicians his ego is pretty average. But unlike many politicians he does have a unique voice and that voice should be heard, even if many (myself included) don’t always agree with it. Although on the issue of Har Habayit I find that I respectfully disagree with you and (largely) agree with Feiglin.
I think he should have joined with Bayit Yehudi or Yishai. Haval, that he will be out in this election.
Only Eli Yishai’s party gets us a little closer to the geulah. It’s the only one that really adheres to true Jewish values – the unity of all Jews around the Torah (hareidi, dati leumi, and traditional – not including Arabs and foreigners), shleimut ha’aretz, goyim out of Israel, honest in his dealings, adherence to da’at Torah…
If he had not formed this new party, I would have no one to vote for. Feiglin is just inept and does not represent my Torah values. Who is his Rav?
