Dozens of rabbonim from the dati leumi camp joined Jerusalem Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi HaGaon HaRav Aryeh Stern Shlita at an event held in Bayit Vegan to give a chizuk to the rav. It is reported that over 100 rabbonim, among them many who voted for Rabbi Stern as the next chief rabbi of the capital instead of the other candidates.
Rabbonim in attendance included Rabbi Zalman Melamed Shlita, Rabbi Baruch Rabinowitz Shlita, Rabbi Dov Lior Shlita, Rabbi Yehoshua Rosen Shlita, Rabbi Chaim Druckman Shlita, and Rabbi Yaakov Ariel Shlita. Rav Stern was quite emotional at the scene of so many of the rabbonim who turned out for the event to honor him and give him a chizuk in his new post.
Deputy Minister of Religious Services Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan was acknowledged for his herculean efforts to fill the ranks of the nation’s civil service rabbinical posts with rabbonim aligned with religious Zionism. Rav Stern stated Rabbi Ben-Dahan is single handedly leading a revolution in the nation’s rabbinate.

What a zechus to be a RAV in Yerushalayim…
From the tone of the article, one could surmise that YWN is pleased with this state of affairs. Most of the chareidi world in Yerushalayim probably is not.
