The mora d’asra of Kfar Chabad, HaGaon HaRav Mordechai Shmuel Ashkenazi ZT”L was niftar a short time ago in Tel Hashomer Hospital. As was reported earlier, the rav was traveling to Tiveria to visit the kever of his father on his father’s yahrzeit.
The rav did not feel well and pulled over his vehicle and called for assistance. He went into cardiac arrest and transported following advanced life support. He was pronounced dead shortly following his arrival in the hospital.

He gave semicha to two of my sons. A huge loss for Chabad & the Jewish world, he was an amazing leader. BDE.
