Delays are expected at Ben-Gurion International Airport as a result of lightning striking the control tower.

One of the systems was damaged as a result of the strike, with officials stressing it is not a system that will place flights in any danger. However, delays up to an hour are likely to result, affecting both incoming and outgoing flights.

Technicians are working to repair the damage at this time.
